One, of my favourite shapes
The Flat Cap
The history of the Flat Cap goes back hundred of years in Britain. For many years anyone over the age of 6 was required to wear one. Later on they signified anyone wearing one was of the lower classes.
By the 1980's, the Flat Cap was a natural accessory for all game shooters.
I love the look of a Flat Cap on men as well as ladies. I am constantly trying to make the perfect cap pattern, but it has alluded me. Over the years, I've come to realize with talking to other milliners and my own experience, these are the most difficult to achieve-there are so many different variants on the shape, fabric choices make a huge impact as well and the shape of the face needs to be considered.
I do believe one of my goals in life is to make the perfect Flat Cap
